Calling all Opera Fans and Newbies to the Glyndebourne Open House 2020!
This year Glyndebourne (the quintessentially British Opera festival) have arranged to host Glyndebourne Open House 2020 a summer of Sunday picnicking online by streaming their operas free of charge. If you want to enter into the spirit then dress up in style as you have the rare opportunity to dig out your tux or long flowing dress with purpose. As is tradition at Glyndebourne guests picnic on the lawn at the interval and around the show and you can now do this from the comfort of your own home or if your lucky enough a sunny spot in your garden.
This activity is free and anyone from anywhere can get involved. Glyndebourne is encouraging people to share their photos via their social media by tagging them or using the hashtag #GlyndebourneOpenHouse
You can find recipes, zoom backgrounds and style advice from the Festival at Home Guide and we are providing help in decorating your home cooked creations, champagne bottles and picnic treats with our free downloadable decorations.
Streaming starts at 5.00pm (GMT) each Sunday from either the Glyndebourne website or their youtube channel
